Blessed Basil Moreau and his family: Origins and Holy Cross
We are in a Parish and school administered by the Congregation of Holy Cross and we follow the Holy Cross charism. Our talk will be about who Blessed Basil Moreau was, while focussing on the importance of family for him and in how he established the Congregation of Holy Cross. Family is one of the five pillars of Holy Cross education. Our community has chosen this pillar as a theme for the 24-25 school year. We also have selected two virtues of the Congregation of Holy Cross for the year: hospitality and community. As we concentrate on hospitality, we'll get to know a remarkable member of the Holy Cross community: St. André Bessette. He embodied hospitality in all the Holy Cross institutions where he served.
This seminar series will be led by Philippe Kreiter, Director of Religious Education and Director of Campus Ministry
Potluck: bring a main dish, salad, or dessert to share. We'll have a lasagna and a mac and cheese, in case. We'll provide still and sparkling water - recyclable, remembering our commitment to Laudato sì.
