Thank you for your interest in Holy Redeemer Catholic School. Applications for the 2018-2019 school year will become available at our Open House on January 31, 2018. If you can’t make it to our event you can click here to schedule a school tour online or call the school office at 503-283-5197. You can receive an application for admission by visiting our school and inquiring at the front desk.
Once the application forms and fee have been submitted, families with new students entering first through eighth grade will be contacted to schedule a visit for a half day or whole day, depending on the age of the student. During that visit students are assessed in math, reading, vocabulary and writing to determine placement. They will also be interviewed briefly by a classroom teacher. Upon completion of an assessment, families will receive a written acceptance or regrets letter from the school.
Prospective kindergarten families will receive a letter once students are accepted. We do not do a spring assessment but choose to give students the summer to learn and grow. In the fall the first week of school half of the kindergarten class attends at one time to give the teacher time to assess and observe them.
Prekindergarten and preschool students are not assessed before the school year begins. Families will receive an acceptance letter from the school once the application is complete.
